The Advance Group is hiring 3 Seasonal Forklift Drivers / Material Handlers to support packaging, shipping, warehouse, and production operations at a salt manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on 1st shift forklift position offering 50+ hours per week.
Approximately 50% of your time will be spent operating a forklift, moving finished pallets and supporting shipping operations. The other 50% will involve general labor and warehouse duties, including cleanup, shoveling, restocking, pallet movement, and housekeeping.
This position is ideal for an experienced forklift operator, forklift driver, warehouse associate, or material handler who is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors and can safely perform physically demanding work.
What You'll Do
As a Seasonal Forklift Driver / Material Handler, you will:
- Operate a forklift to move finished pallets from the packaging and production lines.
- Stage finished salt products for shipment and assist with loading trucks.
- Move, organize, and restock pallets and materials throughout the facility.
- Support packaging and palletizing operations to ensure products meet specifications.
- Perform general labor duties, including shoveling, cleanup, housekeeping, and restocking.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse and production environment.
- Follow all safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Work approximately 50% of the time on forklift operations and 50% performing general labor and warehouse support.
Forklift Driver Requirements
To be successful in this seasonal forklift job, you must:
- Have 2+ years of forklift operating experience.
- Have strong attention to safety and consistently follow safety policies and procedures.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and a hard hat.
- Be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions year-round.
- Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Be willing and able to perform physically demanding general labor duties in addition to forklift operation.
