Temporary Full-Time Maintenance Attendant
Chippewa County is accepting applications for a Temporary Full-Time Maintenance Attendant position.
Under the supervision of the County Administrator, the Maintenance Attendant performs a variety of duties related to the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of County buildings and grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and maintaining County buildings and facilities
- Maintaining County grounds, including landscaping and lawn care
- Mowing lawns and trimming along sidewalks and pathways
- Trimming shrubs and trees
- Planting and caring for flowers and landscaped areas
- Snow and ice removal
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks
- Assisting with minor repairs to County buildings and equipment
- Performing a variety of manual labor duties
- Completing other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- A high school diploma or GED, or
- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job
- Ability and willingness to work during deer hunting season
Compensation
- Starting Wage: $16.78 per hour
- Status: Temporary Full-Time
- Benefits: No fringe benefits are offered with this position
