Job Description
This is a task-oriented position that optimizes the use of blow molding equipment to produce the best possible containers. Performs fundamental work using existing procedures. Understands safety, quality, and blow mold processing.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Understand and comply with all safety rules and guidelines in accordance with Amcor's safety requirements, programs, and initiatives.
Able to demonstrate how to set up and operate 2 different blow molding platforms.
Demonstrates knowledge of mold assembly drawings to be able to setup and install blow mold components correctly.
Demonstrates and can explain the process of converting a preform into a bottle.
Able to measure and inspect bottle samples following established procedures.
Accurately document process information, quality data, and machine or tooling related issues.
Conduct scheduled audits for Safety, GMP, and HACCP.
Perform general housekeeping duties and basic maintenance.
Operate forklifts and cranes.
Meet timelines and deliver on aggressive schedule and work assignments.
Participate in continuous improvement.
Participate in the writing of policies and procedures related to departmental capabilities, technology, equipment, systems and training.
Assist with training others as needed.

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 4 years of experience in blow molding.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
High energy level with the capacity for learning and learning quickly.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization (i.e., with Injection Molding, Warehousing, and ALS).
Strong communication skills (written, spoken, presentation, listening).
