Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Fabricator / Welder to join our team. You will be responsible for fabricating and welding custom steel structures, machine bases, frames, and heavy-duty material handling components. You will work closely with our clients machining and mechanical assembly teams to turn custom engineering designs into robust, high-precision industrial realities.
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities Custom Fabrication:
- Layout, fit, and weld heavy structural steel components according to engineering blueprints.
- Perform high-quality MIG (GMAW) welding on various steel grades and thicknesses.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and precisely interpret complex engineering blueprints, recognizing structural welding symbols and tolerances.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate standard shop equipment including saws, torches, grinders, drills, and ironworkers.
- Quality Precision: Inspect finished welds and fabricated frames to ensure strict adherence to dimensions and quality standards.
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move heavy steel plates, tubes, and weldments across the facility. Schedule Management:
- Work as a self-starter to manage daily workloads and keep critical custom projects moving on schedule.
- Safety & Collaboration:
- Maintain standard industry safety practices, wear required PPE, keep a clean workstation, and collaborate smoothly in a tight-knit team environment.
