This position oversees grant funding opportunities supporting WGVU priorities, including technology, education, IDEA, programming, and community impact. Serves as a liaison between WGVU, GVSU Office of Sponsored Programs, University Institutional Advancement, and GVSU Grants Accounting.
Salary & Benefits:
$57,500 - $67,000, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits include medical, vision, dental, life insurance, retirement contributions, wellness resources, and tuition waiver.
Primary Duties:

Manage the grant administration process, including researching funders, evaluating RFPs, managing funded projects, and tracking/reporting requirements.

Write, review, and edit grant proposals.

Identify and secure philanthropic gifts from private, corporate, and public foundations.

Develop relationships with local, state, and federal funding agencies.

Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward foundation grant makers.

Build and strengthen partnerships with foundations and community organizations.

Serve as liaison between WGVU and relevant GVSU offices.

Manage a portfolio of foundation donors and prospects.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field.

3-5 years of successful grant writing experience in a nonprofit, public broadcasting, or educational setting.

Experience researching, writing, and administering grants.

Ability to develop and implement funded projects and monitor grant budgets.

Strong initiative, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Monday.com, Raiser's Edge/CRM, or similar applications.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Valid driver's license and ability to work on location as needed.
