About the Role
Bronson Methodist Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to support safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care. You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure every procedure is prepared and executed with excellence.
Your expertise directly impacts patient outcomes and the overall performance of the surgical team.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field before and during procedures

Anticipate surgical team needs based on procedure type and surgeon preferences

Ensure instruments and equipment are sterilized, functioning properly, and accounted for

Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to requests during procedures

Assist with positioning devices, specialty equipment, and surgical implants

Participate in specialized surgical services such as cardiac, orthopedic, and neuro

Take call for specialty areas as assigned

Review case details and update preference cards and procedure protocols
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
-
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program

Certification as a Surgical Technologist

BLS certification within core orientation

Ability to perform scrub duties across multiple specialties

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier tasks
