Personnel World is seeking dependable and outgoing Temporary Community & Customer Service Advocate for a 10-week assignment in the Lansing area. In this role, you will work within City of Lansing neighborhoods to help homeowners learn about valuable foreclosure prevention resources and connect them with programs that may benefit them.
Responsibilities:
- Visit neighborhoods throughout the City of Lansing to speak with residents.
- Educate homeowners about available foreclosure prevention resources.
- Administer brief 7-question surveys regarding foreclosure risk.
- Distribute $10 Meijer gift cards to eligible participants who complete the survey.
- Refer interested residents to community workshops for income-based property tax exemption assistance.
- Represent the program in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting with the public and working outdoors.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Reliable transportation to travel throughout the Lansing area.
- Ability to commit to a 20-hour per week schedule for the full 10-week assignment.
