This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to be on the front lines of sophisticated commercial litigation and gain meaningful hands-on experience in the courtroom, in depositions, in motion practice, and through trial preparation. This is not a role limited to document review or behind-the-scenes support. The firm staffs matters with lean teams, giving associates the opportunity to take on substantive responsibility, work directly with experienced trial lawyers, and develop into well-rounded litigators. About the Opportunity The firm is known for handling high-stakes commercial disputes and providing associates with direct exposure to case strategy, client service, written advocacy, depositions, hearings, and trial-related work. Associates in this group are expected to actively litigate, think strategically, and contribute meaningfully to matters from early case assessment through resolution. Ideal Candidate * 3+ years of litigation experience, ideally in a law firm setting * Strong commercial litigation background, including experience with pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and case strategy * Excellent legal writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills * Interest in taking ownership of matters and gaining meaningful courtroom and trial experience * Admission to the Michigan Bar, or eligibility and willingness to become admitted in Michigan Why This Role * Work with a team of true commercial litigators on sophisticated matters * Gain real litigation experience, including opportunities to take depositions, argue motions, and participate in trial preparation * Join a growing practice with strong mentorship and substantive associate involvement * Be part of a Michigan-based litigation boutique known for high-level work and lean case teams * Develop a long-term litigation practice in a collaborative, trial-focused environment Interested?
