Immediate Start | 4-6 Month Contract | Approximately 20 Hours per Week- Pay up to $40/HR (DOE) Beacon Hill Financial is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a part-time contract opportunity. This role offers flexibility within core standard business hours while supporting payroll operations for a multi-state workforce. The ideal candidate is a confident, self-directed payroll professional who can work independently and efficiently manage payroll deadlines. Schedule & Details * Contract length: 4-6 months * Part-time: Approximately 20 hours per week * Flexible schedule within business hours (7:00 AM-6:00 PM) * Must be available to meet payroll processing deadlines * Immediate start available Key Responsibilities * Process payroll using HRIS and payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, or similar platforms * Process bi-weekly payroll for non-exempt employees * Process semi-monthly payroll for exempt employees * Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule * Support payroll administration across multiple states * Assist with quarterly payroll tax filings and related reporting * Follow established payroll procedures and documentation * Collaborate with internal resources when questions arise * Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy throughout the payroll process Qualifications * Previous payroll processing experience required * Experience with Workday, ADP, or similar payroll systems * Multi-state payroll experience required * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving skills * Confident in payroll knowledge and decision-making * Payroll tax filing experience preferred Preferred Experience * Processing payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees * Multi-state payroll administration * Quarterly payroll tax reporting and compliance * Supporting remote employee populations Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
