Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and ability to pass an acceptable background check.
- Current RBT certification or willingness to complete the required 40-hour RBT training and sit for the certification exam.
- Experience working with children and/or individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands associated with providing ABA therapy to children of varying ages, sizes, and abilities, including:
- Lift at least 40 pounds from the floor, as needed, while utilizing proper body mechanics and posture.
- Bend, squat, kneel, sit on the floor, and reach while assisting with physical play, activities, and floor engagement with clients.
- Walk, run, climb, and move quickly, as needed, to promote client safety and meet care needs consistent with BTPRC qualifications.
