CLASSIFICATION: Mental Health Supervisor (CSS)
Pay Range: $82,899.44 - $107,371.73
PROGRAM LOCATION: Community Support Services
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Director of Services for Persons with Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorder Services, provides clinical and administrative supervision for case management, peer support specialists and Community Support Services (CSS) therapist. Oversees the day-to-day operations of the unit and monitors service delivery for Saginaw County Community Mental Health Authority (SCCMHA) including facilitating collaboration with internal and community programs. This position will be knowledgeable about and actively support culturally competent recovery based practices; person centered planning as a shared decision making process with the individual, who defines his/her life goals and is assisted in developing a unique path toward those goals; and a trauma informed culture of safety to aid consumer in the recovery process.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:
Works in office/clinic. Working with individuals with mental illness can be dangerous with possible injury to themselves and others. May counsel individuals who may become potentially violent. Requires travel to multiple locations, sometimes in bad weather.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s degree in a mental health related field from an accredited school.
Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a clinical mental health or related organization preferred. Previous administrative experience preferred. A minimum of three (3) years relevant professional clinical experience, in mental health treatment programs, serving adults with serious mental illness.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid Michigan Driver’s license with a good driving record.
A limited licensed master’s social worker (LLMSW), licensed master’s social worker (LMSW), limited licensed professional counselor (LLPC), licensed professional counselor (LPC), limited licensed marriage and family therapist (LLMFT), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), limited licensed psychologist (LLP) and licensed psychologist (LP).
