Physical & Environmental Requirements
- This is a standing position for the entire shift, except for two paid breaks and one 15-minute unpaid lunch. No seating is available at the press.
- Frequent walking, reaching, and use of hands is required.
- Occasional bending, climbing, or crouching may be necessary.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move 35–50 pounds.
- Requires good overall vision, including close, distance, color, and depth perception.
- Work environment includes moving machinery, moderate noise levels, and occasional exposure to heat, fumes, or airborne particles.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior injection molding experience is preferred; required training must be successfully completed.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow safety rules, work instructions, quality standards, and procedures.
- Basic computer, communication, math, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review inspection plans, work instructions, quality alerts, and control samples before starting production.
- Follow all safety rules, procedures, and customer requirements at all times.
- Maintain required production rates and work speed consistently.
- Inspect, pack, and label parts correctly according to standards.
- Record production data accurately (e.g., counts, scrap, labels, etc.).
- Maintain 5S standards, including keeping the workstation clean and organized.
- Communicate production or quality concerns promptly to supervisors, quality staff, and coworkers.
- Report problems or quality issues immediately when they occur.
- Support and assist other areas or team members when needed.
- Help train new employees on job tasks, quality expectations, 5S practices, and production requirements.
