Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Route Driver & Kitchen Production Float
Position Overview:
The Vending Route Driver is responsible for driving a company vehicle over an established
route to multiple locations in the tri-county area. The driver is responsible for filling and
cleaning the machines, administering refunds, giving excellent customer service, and
maintaining their vehicle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Merchandising: Merchandise products according to planogram. Gather and report customer
feedback. Maintain established inventory levels for all products sold in the vending machine.
Follow protocols for inventory tracking and rotating of product. Collect and record out-ofdate, rejected or unsold merchandise.
Product Delivery: Review inventory requirements to identify what products are needed for
each point of sale. Works closely with the warehouse to ensure all products are ready for
delivery. Load and unload products using proper safety protocols to prevent injury. Drive
vehicle to points of sale to deliver merchandise. Maintain open lines of communication with
management regarding account product changes and recommended scheduling changes.
Cash Handling: Administer refunds to customers who lose product or money in a machine.
Basic addition and subtraction will be necessary as well as great customer service.
Inventory: Full inventory counts must be completed regularly on a hand-held computer.
Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain vending machine cleanliness, inventory and
functioning. Light mechanical aptitude will be necessary to fix small jams in vending
machines. Vehicle maintenance will include checking for adequate gas, oil, antifreeze, etc.
