Title: Launch CoordinatorID: req8906Type: Full Time Function: Product Engineering Division: PT - Bearings & Ignition - Bearings Location: Greenville, MI, United States DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
To support program launches within the facility, in accordance with well defined program goals and objectives. Coordinates logistics activities in regards to new launches in conjunction with operations and quality functions.
Specific Duties:
Coordinates and tracks process activity to ensure timely production and delivery of launch items.
Verifies that gates of launch process have been met prior to shipment and arranges shipments.
Track product design and process changes and highlight impacts to cost, quality, and delivery during program development.
Load, track, report and prepare for major milestones following company APQP process. Update cross functional team and management.
Identify roadblocks and hurdles early allowing for adequate escalation / resolution.
Assists internal and external contacts to resolve product and process problems.
Coordinate design reviews, ensuring adequate participation from cross functional departments and team members. Detail all countermeasures for management review. Develop risk matrix and resolution for program direction.
Coordinate with QSL supervisor on sample shipments and PPAP requirements.
Interacts with the Logistics department to incorporate launch and sample products in schedule.
Participates in customer product development teams, reviews issues and tracks to closure.
Communicates with customer and Federal-Mogul sales team in regards to sample delivery status as needed.
Obtain, document, and ensure that lessons learned are uploaded into Product Life Management throughout program development.
Manages non-conforming product for parts in the PPAP process.
Performs other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS:
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.Technical Knowledge:
Computer experience (Microsoft Excel, data entry, etc.)
