General Summary

The Recruitment & Outreach Specialist is responsible for seeking out and recruiting prospective students to the college. This includes traveling to high schools and attending college fairs and other community events to connect with prospective students and build/maintain relationships with stakeholders. The Recruitment & Outreach Specialist is also responsible for supporting students through the enrollment process, responding to inquiries, leading campus tours, and assisting with various campus events under the supervision of the Director of Admissions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment & Outreach

1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, career and technical education instructors, teachers, administrators, community organizations, employers, and other educational partners.
2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, career and technical education staff, administrators, community organizations, employers, and other educational partners.
3. Create and conduct presentations for students, parents, educators, and community groups regarding academic programs, admissions, financial aid, scholarships, dual enrollment opportunities, workforce training, and student support services.
4. Identify new outreach opportunities and cultivate partnerships that increase awareness of the College throughout the service area.
5. Promote dual enrollment, workforce development and continuing education, transfer, and degree/certificate opportunities.
6. Travel extensively throughout the College's service area and surrounding communities to support recruitment initiatives.

Student Advising

7. Guide prospective students through the admissions and enrollment processes.
8. Provide accurate information regarding admission requirements, academic programs, financial aid, placement testing, orientation, and registration.
9. Assist students in completing admissions applications and required documentation.
10. Maintain ongoing communication with prospective students to encourage application completion and enrollment.

Customer Service

11. Deliver exceptional customer service to students, families, faculty, staff, and community members.
12. Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, online inquiries, and walk-in visitors.
13. Resolve student concerns or refer them to appropriate campus resources.

Enrollment Management

14. Maintain accurate records within the Student Information System (SIS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
15. Monitor prospective student pipelines and conduct follow-up communications.
16. Assist in achieving institutional enrollment and retention goals.

Other Responsibilities

17. Maintain knowledge of college programs, policies, and procedures.
18. Prepare recruitment data and reports for supervisor as requested.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.
