Position Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily maintenance operations for Ventower
Industries' production equipment, facilities, and grounds. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for
supervising maintenance personnel while serving as the primary technical resource for troubleshooting
equipment issues, coordinating with OEMs and vendors, and managing replacement parts procurement. The
Maintenance Supervisor is expected to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, support
production, and ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with
company standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Supervise, train, schedule, and provide daily directions to Maintenance Technicians.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems to
quickly identify root causes and restore equipment to operation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), equipment
vendors, and service providers for technical support, diagnostics, warranty issues, and repair
recommendations.
• Obtain quotes and purchase consumables, manage vendor relationships to ensure timely repairs while
controlling maintenance costs.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of critical spare parts, consumables, and maintenance supplies.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to
maximize equipment uptime.
• Perform and assist with equipment repairs, installations, modifications, fabrication, and facility
maintenance as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals, and technical documentation to
diagnose equipment failures and implement effective repairs.
• Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects with internal teams
and external contractors.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and implement
corrective actions before failures occur.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, parts usage, repair history, and preventive
maintenance schedules.
• Promote and enforce all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements
while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Purchasing to prioritize maintenance activities, improve
equipment reliability, and minimize production downtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Knowledge of VFDs, overhead cranes, rigging, welding, fabrication, and industrial manufacturing
equipment is preferred.
• Able to read, interpret and understand blueprints, manuals, and assembly directions.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial
control systems.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work, such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching,
reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting, and bending for extended
periods of time.
Qualifications:
• Associates degree in a related technical field required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial
Maintenance, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
• Seven (7) or more years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience with Two (2) or more
years demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience working directly with OEMs and equipment suppliers to diagnose issues, source
replacement parts, and coordinate technical support.
• Experience obtaining quotations, ordering maintenance parts, and managing inventory.
• Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) or other maintenance-related certifications are a plus.
