Beck's Ornamental & Turf Management is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Pesticide Applicator to join our team. This position is responsible for applying pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and related treatments to residential and commercial properties while providing outstanding customer service and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. The company is hiring multiple landscaping and turf management positions, including turf-related work for residential and commercial customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and other approved products to residential and commercial properties.
- Inspect lawns, landscapes, trees, shrubs, and other turf areas for weeds, pests, and disease issues.
- Operate and maintain application equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow all product label instructions and company safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of applications and services performed.
- Communicate with customers regarding treatment recommendations and service schedules.
- Assist with general turf and landscape maintenance as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed in a professional and environmentally responsible manner.
Qualifications
Required
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- Previous experience in pesticide application, lawn care, landscaping, or turf management.
- State pesticide applicator certification (preferred, but training may be available for the right candidate).
- Knowledge of turf grass, ornamental plants, weeds, and common pests.
Working Conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Seasonal overtime may be required during peak service periods.
- Use of specialized application equipment and vehicles.
