The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $107,203-$150,700 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Completes the design of complex systems that integrate hardware and software. Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills to deal with most situations. Performs complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design. Completes recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction. Create and check bill of material and order equipment so that the right equipment shows up where/when expected. Manage project budgets/schedules. Check/redline drawing sets for onsite installation, create permit drawing sets as necessary. Travel to site and assist with execution. Work collaboratively with a team of installation/project managers/customers to execute projects. Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers. Manage a team of Mechanical Engineers within a project/program.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Management or a related field and 7 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer or related occupation. Also requires 2 years of experience with CET Maestro; AutoCAD; Amazon-specific installation types (sortable, non-sort, AR, IXD, SSD, Air Hub); Amazon-specific MTBH and rates associated with typical systems and sub-systems; and current and legacy material handling solutions and equipment.
