Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate injection molding presses and perform assembly tasks in accordance with established work instructions.
- Review and follow all production, inspection, quality, and packaging requirements before starting work.
- Monitor product quality and perform required inspections.
- Accurately record production data, including quantities produced, scrap, labels, and other required documentation.
- Package and label products according to specifications.
- Report equipment malfunctions, production concerns, safety hazards, and quality issues promptly to the Supervisor or Plant Manager.
- Maintain required production rates and productivity standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality personnel, and coworkers.
- Assist in other production areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous injection molding experience is preferred but not required; successful completion of company training is required.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
- Basic computer, communication, math, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured manufacturing environment while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- This is a standing position. Employees must remain on their feet throughout the shift except during scheduled breaks (two paid breaks and one 15-minute unpaid lunch). Seating is not available at the press.
- Frequent walking, reaching, and repetitive use of hands and arms is required.
- Occasional bending, crouching, and climbing may be necessary.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Good vision is required, including close vision, distance vision, color recognition, and depth perception.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery, with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to heat, fumes, and airborne particles.
