OTA Diagnostics Validation Technician
Location: Allen Park, MI
Pay Rate: $27.04/hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite
We are seeking a skilled OTA Diagnostics Validation Technician to support the testing and validation of advanced automotive diagnostic tools and connected vehicle technologies. This temporary position is ideal for an automotive professional with diagnostic and repair experience who enjoys working closely with engineering teams to ensure diagnostic systems perform accurately and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
Perform vehicle validation testing in a garage environment using a fleet of test vehicles.
Verify diagnostic software can successfully retrieve and apply software files from backend systems.
Execute and document test results in designated databases and reporting tools.
Participate in remote diagnostics validation as part of a collaborative testing team.
Validate remote vehicle diagnostic capabilities and ensure functionality meets design requirements.
Provide detailed feedback to engineers regarding diagnostic performance and vehicle behavior.
Follow all garage and workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications
Automotive diagnostic and repair experience required.
Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems and the ability to interpret technical diagnostic data.
Ability to collaborate with engineers and communicate technical findings clearly.
Experience documenting test results and following structured test procedures.
Availability to work onsite full-time in Allen Park, MI.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with automotive diagnostic software and service tools.
Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment, including:
Oscilloscopes (Scopes)
Digital Volt/Ohm Meters (DVOM)
Fuel flow checkers
Injector testers
Specialized automotive hand tools
