Job Overview
US Staffing Agency is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Precision Prototype in Eaton Rapids, MI and Precision Prototype in Litchfield, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Welder will work in a fast-paced environment in a manufacturing setting.
- Essential Functions
- Proficient in assigned welding techniques.
- Must pass internal weld certification test per AWS D1.1
- Proficient in metal fabrication.
- Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld symbols.
- Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys and aluminum.
- Working knowledge of the use of fixtures and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
- Working knowledge of conventional and precision measuring instruments.
- Perform per the weld books established and present in each work cell.
- Process inspection, certification and documentation.
- Welding equipment maintenance.
- Finishing grinding applications using manual and power tools.
- Safety and Housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned by the area Lead.
