Meijer Great Lakes Limited Partnership has multiple openings for a Sr. Principal Engineer in Grand Rapids, MI. Architect, design, and review platforms that support the company’s vision across company’s Digital Services, Commerce, and Mobile solutions. Designs, codes, and implements new industry Sr.ing design patterns in code, in various code bases, to create the convention/technique/practice that teams are accountable to follow. Accountable for adhering to corporate architecture standards, ensuring technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization, and contributing to corporate architecture strategy-setting. Benchmarks technology strategies and architectures. Provides engineering strategy to ensure code modernization and industry standard patterns. Builds proof of concepts (POCs) with other Principal Engineers that are production ready. Leads non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as security, reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability, and usability. Remote work is permitted. Req: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field. Foreign equivalent is accepted. 10 years experience in platform design, development, implementation, and maintenance of architecture runway. Experience with enterprise-wide Digital Services, Commerce, and Mobile. One year of Leadership experience required. Knowledge of agile development methodologies. Experience developing and implementing applications in new computing architecture environments using new and emerging technologies. Or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field. Foreign equivalent is accepted. 5 years experience in platform design, development, implementation, and maintenance of architecture runway. Experience with enterprise-wide Digital Services, Commerce, and Mobile. One year of Leadership experience required. Knowledge of agile development methodologies. Experience developing and implementing applications in new computing architecture environments using new and emerging technologies.
