Systems Integration Engineer
Location: Dearborn, MI
Pay: $36.67+ per hour
Join a leading engineering team as a Systems Integration Engineer and play a key role in the design, integration, testing, and validation of advanced vehicle electrical systems. This temporary opportunity is ideal for an engineer with strong electrical systems experience, systems integration expertise, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and validate vehicle-level electrical system schematics
Review and approve electrical device transmittals and interface requirements
Define fusing, grounding, and system compatibility strategies
Support prototype and pre-production vehicle builds, testing, and troubleshooting
Perform ECU integration activities including software flashing, calibration updates, configuration, and diagnostics
Execute functional and system-level tests and analyze results
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve complex electrical system issues
Develop and support system FMEA, DVPs, and validation plans
Lead compatibility reviews for modules, harnesses, and electrical interfaces
Provide technical support during manufacturing and vehicle build activities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience designing and interpreting electrical schematics
Background in systems engineering and component integration
Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Electrical wiring or harness design experience
CAN network knowledge
ECU software flashing, configuration, and diagnostics experience
Vehicle electrical systems validation and testing experience
