Job Title: Paint Washer- 4P-2A
Position type: Full-time
Job Summary:
Paint Prepper 1 is responsible for preparing all models for paint after the initial assembly process. This process includes but is not limited to washing and taping off the machines according to work instructions with minimal guidance. A paint prepper 1 has a general understanding of how to maintain equipment and is detail oriented. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Properly dispose of hazardous waste.
- Can properly operate equipment necessary for washing machines such as a power washer.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths.
- Able to mix materials using various measurements such as ounces, quarts, etc.
- Recognize when there is a problem or issue with a machine and let the appropriate authority know.
- Examine finished washed and taped product to ensure specification and quality are meet.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools to put parts on/off.
- Basic housekeeping and maintaining tools.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read a tape measure, basic shop math, and able to read a blueprint.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Complete Bandit’s crane and/or forklift safety training
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
- Requires employee to work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Frequently lift 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift 60 pounds
