Position Summary
Pomeroy Living Northville is seeking compassionate, patient, and dependable Caregivers to join its assisted living care team. Caregivers provide hands-on support to senior residents by assisting with daily living activities, personal care, safety, documentation, and resident engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and mobility support.

Provide respectful and compassionate personal care to residents.

Support residents with daily routines and comfort needs.

Document resident care, progress, and changes as required.

Build positive relationships with residents and their families.

Communicate professionally with residents, families, supervisors, and care team members.

Observe and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or needs.

Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.

Follow resident care plans, facility policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Support resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Assist with additional resident care duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Previous experience in personal care, caregiving, assisted living, home care, direct care, or a related field preferred.

Must have a compassionate and caring demeanor.

Strong communication skills required.

Must be dependable, patient, respectful, and professional.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to follow care instructions and documentation requirements.

Must be able to complete required onboarding, background checks, and training.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with seniors or individuals needing daily care support.

Experience in assisted living, senior living, long-term care, home health, adult foster care, or healthcare support.

CPR / First Aid training preferred.

CNA certification helpful but not required unless specified by employer.

Strong teamwork, patience, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy care environment.
