Position Summary
Pomeroy Living Northville is seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, and dependable Activity Aides to join the resident engagement team. The Activity Aide helps plan, prepare, and lead meaningful activities that support residents’ social, emotional, physical, and recreational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with planning and implementing engaging activities for residents.

Help lead group activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise, social events, and recreational programs.

Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests and abilities.

Assist residents before, during, and after activities as needed.

Create a warm, welcoming, respectful, and fun atmosphere.

Support residents with social interaction and community engagement.

Help set up and clean up activity areas.

Communicate with residents, families, and team members in a professional and caring manner.

Observe resident participation and report concerns or changes to appropriate staff.

Support special events, holiday activities, outings, and themed programs when scheduled.

Follow company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality expectations.
Qualifications
-
Experience working with seniors is preferred, but not required.

Experience in activities, recreation, caregiving, customer service, hospitality, childcare, or group programming is helpful.

Must have a positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Must be compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to encourage participation and make residents feel included.

Must be able to follow instructions and support scheduled programming.
