Job Description:
Dematic has a need for a Senior Global Data Analyst. The Sr. Global Data Analyst bridges the gap between the business functions of Project Management, Engineering, Finance and Supply Chain. This individual performs advanced analyses of major global data sets to identify opportunities to integrate information from disparate groups to ensure a continuity of information among key organizational decision makers. If a change in process or procedure is proposed, this individual will collect, analyze, and present the impact to the larger organization using a combination of both financial models and scientific methods to validate that outcomes can be achieved as expected.
This individual will help to first identify, then prioritize the development, integration, and analysis of those datasets that bring the most value to the executive team. The candidate must continually seek to understand the various methods by which data is collected and redistributed from our various systems to ensure the correct sources of data are gathered and analyzed.
This person will also identify limitations in current tools and data usage in order to make recommendations for the modification and development of applications and tools to better support evolving business processes.
Location:
This person will travel globally in order to identify and create sustainable regional relationships with key data owners and users in order to support the Data Transformation efforts. The physical location of this individual is not important. The individual must have a cultural awareness as they will be expected to gain support of each region to support their need of datasets. This individual should expect to travel between 15 to 25% of the time, though the exact amount will be on an as needed basis.
Knowledge and Background:
The Sr. Global Data Analyst must understand the processes by which various operations groups and global regions within Dematic operate.
The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting trends and results uncovered in data analysis in order to understand real-world operational and financial implications.
The individual must have experience in how we budget, plan, and execute in the key areas of our business. This individual will need to be an expert in accounting and financial principles yet have a technical ability to utilize SQL and scientific data analysis to produce statistically sound projections and models. This individual will need to be extremely disciplined, a self-starter, and have excellent language and communication skills.
