FLSA: Non-Exempt Temporary/Continuing: Continuing Part-Time/Full-Time: Full-Time Union Group: Clerical-Technical Association (MEA-NEA) Term of Position: 12 Month At Will/Just Cause: Just Cause Summary of Position: Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean of Student Life, assist in the overall coordination of functions and activities within the Center for Student Involvement. Work independently to coordinate the functions of Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), oversee the application, distribution and processes of the Student Activity Fund (SAF), plan and implement small-scale daytime drop-in events and engagement opportunities for students, coordinate campus use of outdoor grounds and related spaces in accordance with university policies and procedures, and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages student involvement, engagement, and connection to the university community. This is a fully in-person position. The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F-1 EADs, OPT, H-1 B, etc. Position Type: Staff Required Education: Satisfactory completion of two years of college or equivalent. The listed requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Equivalency for education: Two years of full-time, related work experience equals one year of education. Required Work Experience: Two years of full-time clerical or office administrative work experience, including bookkeeping and public contact. Required Licenses and Certifications: Physical Demands: Office Environment Bending Carrying Reaching Sitting Twisting Balancing Lifting Pulling/Pushing Repetitive movement Standing Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Assist with the contracting and production of campus events such as concerts, comedians, speakers, etc. Review and process financial transactions as stipulated in contracts and engagement agreements. May be required to attend and work occasional evening campus event. Serve as primary point of contact for the Student Activity Fund (SAF); schedule, coordinate, and attend all Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee (SAFAC) meetings; train, mentor and advise Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) on SAFAC processes and procedures in accordance with the Rules of Appropriation and Allocation; assist with the recruitment, selection, and training of student voting members of SAFAC; coordinate the booking and contracting of approved talent; and process all financial transactions related to SAF-funded travel, programs, and events. Administer the scheduling and reservation process for the Robinson and South Quad , reviewing requests from internal and external organizations and ensuring compliance with university policies, risk management requirements, and operational guidelines. Create, market, and execute regularly occurring small-scale daytime programs and activities in and around the David L. Eisler Center to enhance the student experience and encourage campus involvement. Serve as office manager for the Center for Student Involvement, coordinating administrative functions, supervising front-office operations, and fostering a welcoming, professional, and student-centered environment.
