About the Role
Work in a highly collaborative team environment supporting engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sales customers striving to deliver clear, concise, and valid product change information.
The Change Management Specialist is integral to the execution and control of change management processes, practices, and tools during the release of the change request information to the end users globally.
This position will spend approximately 95% of allocated work time executing the requirements of the change management process. The remaining 5% of allocated work time will be spent focusing on project initiatives identified by the Manager of Quality Business Systems and Configuration Management. The project portion of this position will focus on project initiatives that help reduce the cost of poor quality and improve efficiency.
What You Will Do
Actively manage product lifecycle phases in Teamcenter (PLM Tool)
Work directly with cross functional team to assist with Part/BOM creation and maintenance
Manage part attributes and workflow approvals per defined rule set
Manage tasks and Change Request/Notices daily
Develop and maintain knowledge base at subject matter expert level for change management processes and tools
Problem solve data integrity issues identified by customers, suppliers, management and seek solutions allowing for resolution
Actively work with end users to enforce adherence to standard processes and policies
Provide training to end users as necessary for change process and tools
Schedule and lead change review meetings to achieve performance objectives
Create and update existing department work instructions and training documentation as assigned
Active involvement in identifying continuous improvement ideas for process and tool improvement
Openly and actively contributes towards team goals to enable success
Align with Release Engineer to ensure change effectivity dates are in accordance with plant implementation schedule
Effectively manage obsolescence of parts and documents
Ensure all applicable approvals are obtained as part of the change process
Ensure that each change follows interchangeability and revision level rules
Creation of Change Notices based on approved Change Request
What You Need to Be Successful
Experience with Industry recognized PLM and ERP systems
At least two years of experience in CM, Engineering or Data Analyst environment.
Associate degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Products
Ability to recognize basic part print information
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely
Remains calm, open-minded and customers focused under pressure
Able to embrace change
Demonstrates personal integrity in all interactions
Challenges self to achieve higher personal goals
Able to manage multiple tasks and projects without direct supervision
Self-starter
Well organized
High level of attention to detail
Bonus Points if You Have
CMII certification
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Engineering Background
Capable of developing or possessing a technical understanding of manufactured products
Knowledge of industry standards
Knowledge of inventory control and material-planning principles
Knowledge of SAP, Windchill and Product Center
Knowledge of IMDS requirements
