The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $122,346-$135,850 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Own, document, communicate, and gain buy-in for category strategies for spend under management. Research, select, develop, and maintain adequate sources of supply to ensure the requirements of the categories are met with optimum quality, service, and cost to use. Negotiate with suppliers successfully by analyzing the market and supply dynamics; developing counterarguments, opening positions, and negotiation sourcing plans to prepare for multiple negotiation scenarios; aligning on acceptable negotiation outcomes by engaging internal stakeholders; leading the development of risk analyses, assessments, and mitigation plans for categories of spend to proactively protect against supply interruptions; and developing and executing plans to quickly and effectively react to unforeseen supply interruptions. Comprehend and provide constructive input on legal contract documents related to business Terms & Conditions, pricing, delivery, etc. Utilize financial acumen to develop cost models and should cost analysis and thoroughly understand key market drivers and how they affect price, availability, or supply chain logistics. Negotiate competitive master supply agreements and pricing models to ensure competitive supply supporting business margin targets. Ensure actual pricing is consistent with master supply agreements and price models. Develop and maintain a robust cost-savings project pipeline and project-managed initiatives until successful implementation. Actively pursue internal “voice-of-customer” and ensure perspectives are addressed in category approaches. Ensure a competitive supplier panel (including sole/single source mitigation) is developed to support high business growth rates. Monitor supplier financial risk and take business-protecting proactive actions. Conduct supplier business reviews with forward-leaning agendas: technology, collaboration, and overall competitiveness.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management or related field and 3 years’ experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Agent, Procurement Specialist, Estimation Engineer, Engineering Coordinator or related occupation. Also requires 12 months of experience with category management; vendor management, and technical procurement with a focus on Metalfab; Raw materials indexation; price levels, material flows, entry ports of the steel market; long term agreements and legal framework; capacity assessment; reading engineering drawings; and Procurement KPIs calculation: OTD, PPMs, and PPV.
25% domestic and international travel required to various unanticipated locations. Telecommuting permitted for this Dematic Corp. position but must be near Fort Worth, TX or Grand Rapids, MI (HQ location). Apply at jobs.localjobnetwork.com.
