Plan and design interior components for electric vehicles. Use CAD to create concept drawings, interior components and systems, packaging layouts and DFM studies. Develop and design interior components including, but not limited to doors, trim, instrument panels, headliner, displays, and electro-mechanical assemblies and mechanisms. Create, improve, and establish technical product specifications and timelines. Participate in packaging, engineering, release, and launch of interior components and systems of vehicles. Ensure technical excellence and on time delivery of interior components and systems. Engage in materials selection and molding of components and employ and develop effective tools for vehicle development. Benchmark trends and supplier competencies to create, improve, and establish timelines.
- Education and Experience: Requires Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and five years of experience as a Design Engineer.
- Alternative Requirement: In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept two additional years of experience as a Design Engineer.
- Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
- Special Skills: This position also requires education or experience in: Education or Experience must include:
- CAD Software, including CATIA
- Design and development of interior automotive parts
- Preparing conceptual sketches
- Creating feasibility schedules for manufacturing
- Analyzing safety regulations for interior design
- DFMEA preparation
- Line balancing
Salary Range: $144,430 to $ 180,000 per year.
The compensation range for this position is specific to the location(s) listed in this notice and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position, taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions—including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
