Position Summary
Northwestern Michigan College seeks an Adjunct Electrical Instructor to teach Electrical courses that support Michigan Electrical Apprenticeship requirements. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering instruction, maintaining student records, assessing coursework, and supporting student success. Teaching assignments may include evening, weekend, online, hybrid, or face-to-face formats.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Electrical apprenticeship-related coursework.
- Prepare course materials and maintain syllabi.
- Assess and grade student work.
- Maintain accurate academic records and gradebooks.
- Utilize Moodle and educational technologies.
- Support student learning through varied instructional methods.
- Participate in required adjunct reviews and professional development.
- Follow College policies, including FERPA and ADA requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Journeyman's Electrical License.
- Minimum four years of related professional experience.
- Ability to effectively teach and support diverse learners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree considered.
- Teaching experience.
- Additional certifications or licenses in related fields.
Additional Information
This position is hired through EduStaff and selected candidates must complete EduStaff onboarding requirements. Work may involve classroom, lab, and shop environments with exposure to electrical equipment and varying noise levels.
