Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
We're seeking someone who can own and elevate supplier quality performance, ensuring both supplier processes and outputs consistently meet high standards. This role requires experience validating process capability and measurement systems, auditing quality systems, and supervising and improving ongoing performance. The ideal candidate can identify gaps, drive root cause, and CAPA, and hold suppliers accountable through data-driven improvements. Success in this role comes from the ability to strengthen and scale supplier quality management systems reducing defects and ensuring consistent, high-performance components across the supply chain!
Job Description, but not limited to:
Responsible for onboarding of suppliers, communication, and training of KLA supplier quality requirements
Perform supplier risk assessment, document process of record and control plan for supplier performance indicators. Monitor and trend performance.
Drive Develop for Quality (DFQ) inputs and resolutions for known quality issue into build and carrying findings into supplier process control.
Implement product conformance reviews, FAI and KPCS process control data for new products and suppliers
Lead supplier continuous improvement activities
Prepare supplier quality performance data for business reviews
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering on resolution of supplier RCCA for non-conformances
Leads supplier and internal quality scorecards through quality related data collection, analysis, and periodic reporting
Working with multi-functional teams within KLA to make to ensure high quality standards from suppliers.
Potential travel both domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time
Qualifications:
Proven experience with supplier quality engineering, preferably within optics, photonics, or precision engineering environments
Hands-on experience supporting optics or optical component suppliers (lenses, mirrors, coatings, laser systems, or alignment-critical assemblies)
Ability to read, interpret, and validate optical specifications, including tolerances, surface quality, and performance requirements is a plus
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with optics engineers on technical requirements, specifications, and issue resolution
Experience applying supplier quality methodologies (RCCA, CAPA, 8D) in high-precision or optics-driven manufacturing environments
Strong understanding of process capability, measurement systems, and inspection methods for precision/optical components
Experience working with global suppliers and driving measurable quality improvements
Domestic and International travel from 30% to 40% is required.What Sets This Role Apart

Bachelor's degree with 8 years' work experience, OR Master's degree with + 6 years' work experience, OR PhD with 3 years' work experience or equivalent work experience
Base Pay Range: $102,200.00 - $173,700.00 Annually
