We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to work at an automation company. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum in a production or fabrication environment and takes pride in producing clean, consistent welds that meet quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components per blueprints and work orders
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
- Inspect completed welds visually and with measuring tools to ensure conformance to quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety protocols
- Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or material inconsistencies to supervision
- Meet production quotas while maintaining quality standards
Requirements:
- 2+ years of MIG welding (STEEL) experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
- Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols as needed
- Experience welding carbon steel required; stainless or aluminum a plus
- AWS certification preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred:
- Experience with fixture or jig welding
- Flux core welding experience
