Design Release Engineer(s) needed to work in Farmington Hills, MI and various and unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to provide engineering support as defined by the client’s propulsion systems development plan. Develop high-level functional safety requirement flow charts and high-level controls diagrams. Identify and recommend functional requirement change process. Support component design failure mode and effect analysis DFMEA's. Support the validation and test teams with strategies and plans. Define overall common specification for EOL programming and support for each program. Define service repair procedure definition for every DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code). Identify and recommend requirement change process. Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. Provide regular updates and reports to client on progress of assigned work. Close the loop with client management on all issues. Manage meetings to achieve system deliverables. Explore and recommend new ways of value addition to client. Define and establish functional requirement management process in terms of storing and managing traceability using best practice tools (DOORs, Next Gen, etc.). Create process and procedure documentation for the responsible areas. Lead definition of standard product specifications for source packages. Provide technical clarification of designs with suppliers and manufacturing. Develop high-level functional safety requirement flow charts and high-level controls diagrams. Must have a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any), or a related field, plus two (2) years of automotive engineering experience as an Automotive Engineer, Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer, or related position. The two (2) years of automotive engineering experience must include experience with the following: Orcad, Zuken, and Teamcenter. In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (any), or a related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-Bachelor’s Degree automotive engineering experience. Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive post-Bachelor's Degree automotive engineering experience must include experience with the following: Orcad, Zuken, and Teamcenter.
All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and/or relocation may be required. Frequency of travel approximately 10% per year. International travel is not required. Domestic travel and relocation to unanticipated locations throughout the United States required as needed based on Hinduja Tech Inc. business needs. Incidental telecommuting may apply. EOE.
