Job Description
B.E.A.M. Industries is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist (Crib Attendant) to join our logistics team in Romulus, Michigan. This position plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment where attention to detail, safety, and organization are critical. This position offers the opportunity to develop and expand skills in warehouse management systems, inventory control, material handling equipment, and distribution operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments by inspecting, verifying, and recording deliveries using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Prepare outbound shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling customer orders.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment.
- Stock shelves, organize inventory, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Ensure products are packaged properly to prevent damage during shipment.
- Utilize SAP systems to track inventory and coordinate order fulfillment activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance concerns.
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse operating standards.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience, particularly in shipping and receiving operations, is highly preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners is required.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400, SAP, or other MRP software is preferred.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and shipping calculations.
- Knowledge of eSAP fulfillment processes, including picking and packing procedures, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
