Job Description
B.E.A.M. Industries is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join our team as a Dunnage Cleaner. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment by cleaning, inspecting, and preparing dunnage materials used in shipping and receiving operations.
As a Dunnage Cleaner, you will help ensure that pallets, crates, containers, and packaging materials remain in good condition and ready for reuse. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, safety, and teamwork are highly valued.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize dunnage materials using appropriate tools and cleaning agents.
- Inspect dunnage materials for damage, wear, contamination, or defects and report concerns to supervisors.
- Organize cleaned materials to ensure efficient storage and accessibility.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment, including pressure washers, vacuums, and other cleaning tools as assigned.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
- Assist with the proper disposal of unusable dunnage materials in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by ensuring clean materials are readily available.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning, janitorial, warehouse, or maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
- Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Ability to safely operate basic cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Dependable attendance and a positive work ethic.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
