Facilities Maintenance Technician (Temporary)
Location: Warren, MI
Pay: Up to $32.26/hour
We are seeking a reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support plant operations with equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and facility improvements. This temporary role is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repair on facility systems including HVAC, power distribution, plumbing, compressors, and cooling systems
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with minimal supervision
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system checks
Read and interpret electrical and piping schematics for repairs and installations
Support equipment installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards
Use diagnostic tools and maintain proper working condition of equipment
Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Journeyman certification or equivalent experience preferred
Strong background in mechanical, electrical, and facility systems
Experience with pumps, motors, piping, and general building maintenance
Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
