Job Summary:
Responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to restaurant recipes and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and ensure food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently during service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, portioning, and storing food items.
- Cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and customer specifications.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and inventory levels.
- Follow food safety and health regulations.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed during shifts.
- Help with opening and closing kitchen duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Previous cooking or restaurant experience preferred but not required. We will train.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
