Community Health Supervisor

Oneida County Health Department is seeking a passionate, collaborative, and forward-thinking Community Health Supervisor to join our leadership team. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the health of our community through a blend of leadership, program management, and public health practice. The Community Health Supervisor will serve as a key member of the Department’s leadership team and assists in guiding overall day-to-day operations of the Health Department.
JOB DUTIES: This position helps advance the Health Department's mission of empowering individuals and communities to lead healthy, fulfilling lives through education, innovation, programs, and partnerships. Responsibilities include:
- Supervising, mentoring, and supporting public health staff
- Leading program planning, implementation, evaluation, and quality improvement efforts
- Assisting with departmental operations, strategic planning, budgeting, grants, and workforce development
- Building and maintaining strong community partnerships
- Using data to inform decision-making and improve health outcomes
- Supporting emergency preparedness and public health response efforts
- Serving as a member of the department leadership team and assuming leadership responsibilities in the Director's absence
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Education, Nursing, Environmental Health, Health and Wellness, Dietetics, Allied Health or closely related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Two years’ experience in a public health setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience required with experience working with community partnerships and collaborative initiatives. Supervisory and management experience as well as experience in public health planning, grant management, quality improvement, and performance management preferred.
WAGES AND BENEFITS: This full time exempt position has a starting annual salary range of $76,151.70 to $86,442.38 plus benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System and a PTO (Paid Time Off) package with the ability to carry unused PTO into future years.
WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: Position works full-time, 40 hours per week. The position would work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a half-hour unpaid lunch.
