Starting Salary Range: $94,000.00 - $114,700.00
Position Summary:
Responsible for engineering activities related to the planning, designing, constructing, operating, or maintaining a broad spectrum of utility and non-utility engineering work in all 6 major areas of Electric Generating Stations, Drinking Water Conditioning Plants, Steam Heating Plants, Chilled Water Production Plants, 138kV to 13.2kV Electric Substations Facilities, and general commercial facilities. Most projects involve working in a multi-disciplined engineering environment with mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, or other engineering disciplines working together as needed to complete projects of varied sizes. Typical projects involve some or all of the following activities: investigations, studies, estimating, economic evaluations, budgeting, scheduling, designing, drawing development and review, construction and commissioning support, training, and project management.
Essential Functions:

Mastery of all principle duties and responsibilities for Level 1-2 Engineer

Develop broad knowledge and skills in specific practice areas.

Works on small projects/tasks or portions of larger projects/tasks.

Performs moderate design/planning/analysis tasks.

Evaluates, selects, applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional design/planning/analysis projects with few complex features.

Collaboratively uses judgement to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments.

Prepares portions of, or entire, technical documents.

Edits technical documents such as plans, applications, reports, specifications, etc.

Perform research and investigation.

Assigns tasks to and coordinates work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.

Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements.

Those who have a PE license seals documents of their designs for permits, plans, etc., that meet the requirements of their license.
