Construction Supervisor - Power Plant (Travel Assignment)
Location: China, MI (Near Canadian Border)
Pay: $90-$130/hr + $170/day per diem (car, food, lodging)
Assignment: 1 FTE | Shift 1 | 06/08/2026 - 05/02/2027
We are seeking a Construction Field Supervisor to support a large-scale power plant construction project in China, Michigan. This is a travel-based assignment providing per diem support for housing, meals, and transportation. The role focuses on field coordination, construction tracking, and schedule oversight during active construction and demolition phases.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor power plant construction activities, including labor, materials, and equipment usage
Track project progress against established construction schedules and milestones
Coordinate field activities in alignment with, but independent from, the Construction Manager
Support planning and execution of equipment setup and mobilization activities
Assist in monitoring demolition phases as project ramps from 5x10 to 6x10 work schedules
Identify and report schedule risks, resource gaps, and field execution issues
Maintain accurate documentation of site progress, manpower, and material flow
Support coordination between contractors, vendors, and project leadership
Work Schedule
Initial phase: 5x10 schedule (five 10-hour days)
Ramp-up phase: 6x10 schedule during demolition and peak construction activity
Required Qualifications
Experience in power plant or large-scale industrial construction environments
Strong understanding of construction scheduling, field coordination, and jobsite operations
Ability to track labor, materials, and equipment across active construction sites
Strong communication and reporting skills
Ability to work independently in a high-activity field environment
Assignment Details
Long-term travel assignment (approximately 9 months onsite support)
Per diem provided for housing, meals, and transportation
