Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled IT Plant Manager. This role is responsible for leading plant-level IT operations, supporting manufacturing and business systems, and ensuring the reliability of infrastructure and end-user technology. The IT Plant Manager serves as a key member of the site leadership team and helps drive operational excellence through technology initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Job Duties
- Manage daily IT operations and support activities within the manufacturing facility
- Oversee plant-level IT infrastructure, software, hardware, telecommunications, and network services
- Supervise and develop onsite IT support personnel
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors providing maintenance and technical services
- Participate in planning, forecasting, and monitoring IT budgets and expenditures
- Coordinate hardware and software deployments in alignment with corporate standards
- Support provisioning, maintenance, and lifecycle management of end-user devices
- Develop and execute technology plans that align with operational and organizational objectives
Skills Required:
- 6+ years of experience in a IT Plant Manager role
- 6+ years of experience developing and executing strategic technology plans
- 4+ years of experience leading cross-functional projects and initiatives
- 4+ years of experience managing departmental budget
- Experience supporting VMware infrastructure
- Experience supporting PC, server, RF, printing, and network storage technologies
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and infrastructure
- Experience utilizing backup and recovery technologies for troubleshooting and system support
- Experience with enterprise IT tools and technologies
- Experience supporting IT environments within automotive manufacturing
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Plex or similar manufacturing ERP systems
- Experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Knowledge of plant-floor applications and industrial network environments
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations technology and production systems
- Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure standards and governance practices
