SUMMARY:
Management Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a fast-paced manufacturing client in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position is 3rd shift on Sunday through Thursday with some weekends required. The ideal candidate will oversee processes of the maintenance department by setting the direction, coordination and evaluation of all employees including non-supervisory.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedules, assigns, and directs all work within the maintenance department.
- Executes hiring and training process of new employees.
- Supervises maintenance mechanics and support personnel.
- Performs regular reviews of operation and production reports.
- Evaluates the performance of direct reports against their job requirements and performance goals.
- Complies with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law.
- Conforms to all rules, regulations and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising and leading a maintenance department in a manufacturing environment required
- Experience with Microsoft Office & SAP required
- Experience in circuit, motor controls, and volt systems required
- Union experience highly preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing preferred
- Associates Degree in business or a technical-related field preferred
- PLC programming experience preferred
