JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of Political Science at SVSU seeks part-time instructors for fall semester 2026 and winter semester 2027 to teach introductory courses in Political Science, the American Political System, and World Politics. The expectation is for in-person, on-campus teaching and the ability to teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in political science, law, or public administration.
- Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- College-level teaching experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Duties are generally performed inside and not exposed to adverse conditions.
- All work associated with this role must be performed within the state of Michigan.
