What to Expect
At Tesla Grand Rapids, we design, build, and service highly automated, high-volume manufacturing machinery to help Tesla accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. Our location is currently seeking a highly motivated, "hands-on" individual for the role of Shipping and Receiving Associate/Driver. This position involves primarily driving and maintaining Tesla Fleet vehicles, but also includes processing incoming parts, maintaining inventory control using the company ERP system, and assisting with the purchasing of a variety of commercial components for special projects, sales orders, inventory, and shop needs.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Additional hours may be required as needed.
What You'll Do
Data entry into ERP system
Sort, label, and repack parts
Coordinate with team to ship large-scale shipments
Organize incoming parts onto designated project carts, bins, or racking
Maintain organized inventory
Suggest improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency
Handle shipment and receipt of all products, materials and supplies
What You'll Bring
1 year of logistics experience and familiarity with inventory control along with a strong work ethic and computer proficiency
Accurately maintain daily driver log-book pre-check and post-check of truck and promptly unload trucks deliveries sort and stock receivables
Ability to lift and move heavy boxes up to 60 pounds manually pallet jack heavy material on/off trucks and operate heavy equipment forklifts daily
Knowledge of local major and minor roadways and adherence to federal motor carrier safety regulations DOT guidelines
Able to read speak and understand English both written and verbal with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver's license insured with Class A CDL and current DOT Physical Examination medical card required, manual transmission certification preferred
Capability to engage and operate with a high level of integrity and reliability
