Personnel World is seeking a skilled Cleaning Equipment Repair Technician to join a service team in Lansing. In this hands-on role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial cleaning equipment both in the shop and in the field. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and looking for a long-term career in equipment repair.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial cleaning equipment
- Perform inspections and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Travel to customer sites using a company-provided vehicle for service calls
- Provide professional and friendly customer service during on-site visits
- Keep tools, vehicles, and workspaces organized and well maintained
- Complete repair jobs efficiently while meeting service timelines
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on repair or mechanical experience (cleaning equipment, small engines, or similar machinery preferred)
- Experience with 12V battery-powered equipment is a strong plus
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and remain active throughout the day
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using a tablet or laptop for work orders and communication
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- This position requires extensive travel throughout Michigan using a company vehicle, with occasional travel to Indiana.
