Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within our facility, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for employees and visitors. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsive Deployment in ALBION, MI is looking for a great Maintenance tech person. This is not a highly skilled position, but Skilled Trades experience will obviously draw preference.
WAGE: $18.34
Shift: 8am - 4pm // Tuesday through Saturday.
20min paid onsite break is included.
If you leave campus or take longer than 20 minutes you must clock out and adjust leaving time to ensure 8 hrs are completed.

The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by a member of the Team:
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspects and identifies areas needing to be cleaned and maintained.
Notify supervisor of any unsafe conditions and repairs identified.
Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, counters, office tools, phones, etc.
Maintain cleaning inventory and submit request to order of supplies as needed.
Empty trash and recycling bins.
Vacuum, sweep, mop floors.
Clean and maintain restrooms.
Operate floor scrubbers and other janitorial equipment.
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, technical procedures, manuals and/or government regulations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from program staff, state licensing representatives, and ORR/Federal Field Staff as needed.
Ability to speak, read and write in English language is required.
Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish is preferred.
Ability to communicate accurately and effectively with multiple members of a team including relevant state licensing representatives, and ORR/Federal Field staff.
Gather and/or maintain information for reporting requirements (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and/or annually) as needed.
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS:

Be at least 21 years of age,
Must maintain any licenses/certifications during employment and/or obtain within required time frames, if approved.
Ensure completion of On-the-Job Training requirements.
Meets dress code/uniform standards; appearance is neat and clean.
Complete any training requirements including Managing Aggressive Behavior/NRCYS and CPR/First Aid.Maintains dependable attendance and ability to work a flexible schedule.
May assist in the safe evacuation of youth if needed.
May need to respond to emergency situations to ensure the safety and security of the youth.
Wear an ID badge while on company property or job sites.
Must maintain confidentiality in all program areas including any information regarding youth.
Maintain confidentiality of health care records and information in keeping with HIPAA and Protected Health Information (PHI) requirements.
Maintain professional conduct and ensure appropriate respectful interactions during any contact with youth, staff, state licensing representatives, ORR/Federal Field Staff, and other vendors or community members.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations.
Enforces safety and security standards for youth, staff, and visitors.
Clear MVR Check.
Clear criminal background check. Including a national criminal fingerprint background check.
Clear drug testing results.
Clear Tuberculosis results.
In adherence with federal or state contract requirements (as applicable): Proof of immunizations (i.e., varicella, measles, mumps, tetanus, Tdap, rubella and annual Flu).
Commitment to reduce, reuse, and recycle initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year work related experience in a busy commercial or school environment preferred.
Possess the relevant experience
Well organized, highly motivated, excellent communication skills, leadership skills that also display integrity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Housekeeper will work in-person (on-site) at the assigned facility.
Shifts will include an 8-hour shift. Overtime may be required upon approval.
Work environment may include working in offices indoors or outdoors in areas.
Overtime will be required for this position as needed.
The work week may not consist of a traditional Monday through Friday work schedule and working some holidays may be required.
Facility is a 24-hour shelter setting with children whose primary language is Spanish.
