We are hiring an Assembler for a military vehicle manufacturing environment in Walker, MI. This temporary-to-hire role is ideal for candidates with soldering, wiring, and electronic assembly experience in a precision manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
Assemble and solder wire harnesses and electronic components
Work with low-voltage and high-voltage assemblies using military and industry standards
Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
Operate crimping machines, wire strippers, and other semi-automated equipment
Build assemblies using wire boards, fixtures, and templates
Perform visual and dimensional quality inspections
Prepare, clean, mark, pot, and seal components prior to assembly
Install electrical parts and hardware using hand and power tools
Support engineering with first article builds and new product introductions
Work across multiple product lines as needed
Qualifications
Experience in wire harness assembly or electronic assembly required
Soldering experience required
Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-WHMA-620, J-STD-001) preferred
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Comfortable using hand tools, fixtures, and microscopes
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Military or aerospace assembly experience is a plus
