SUMMARY:
Management Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking college students for an HR Assistant Internship. We are a group of energetic and entrepreneurial folks working in an open, collaborative space in downtown Grand Rapids. This role is challenging and interesting - and very valuable, supporting multiple recruiters and account managers. The position is throughout the Fall 2016 - Winter 2017 semester(s). You are expected to work a minimum of 25 hours a week Monday - Friday and will be paid $8.50/hour.
These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with our mission, vision, and cultural values. The ideal candidate needs to understand appropriate paperwork and procedures necessary to make transactions, be able to prioritize, work independently to research and resolve candidate issues, determine the most efficient method to resolve problems while complying with corporate and regulatory procedures
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform administrative work of a confidential nature
Assist Recruiters and Account Managers as necessary
Assist recruitment specialist in screening eligible candidates
Prepare necessary documents, job description, screen tests and interview questions for the organization
Respond to recruitment email inbox in a timely manner
Communicate effectively and confidently at all levels, over the phone, face to face and by email
Preparation of new hire packets in a timely manner
Utilize sourcing techniques to gather passive candidates for job orders
Generate documents on a computer using Microsoft Office software
Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating files and record keeping systems
Performs tasks and support services associated with preparing and making arrangements for internal and external contacts.
Performs special projects, research, and other related duties as required
Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program with an emphasis in business administration, human resources, psychology, or a related field required.
Junior status required; senior status preferred
Time management and high organizational skills are a must
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
Ability to interact with diverse populations
Interest in HR and/or recruiting activities
